“ Nice place for a dinner with friends! Food was delicious and portioned well. Service was amazing too! It's a smaller place which was nice but when it's full of diners it can feel a little on the loud side. Overall we had a great experience & will definitely come back in the future! ”
“ My wife and I ate here for the first time since it reopened. I had the duck breast special and it was amazing. Consistently great food. Only complaint is that it's real tight in there. We were very close to the table next to us. ”
“ Stopped in at random with zero knowledge of Public. We will absolutely return to try the other menu items. The staff is very personable and friendly. Put Public on your list. ”
“ Absolutely everything about our meal at Public, in Zeeland, Michigan was perfection. My husband enjoyed the Meyer lemon Brown butter, Parmesan crusted chicken cutlet - I don’t have word’s to adequately describe the bright flavors of the dish, everything was beautifully balanced. The braised short rib is exquisitely, tender, so much so that you don’t even need to chew it - but you want to, just so you get to enjoy it longer. Make a reservation and GO! You won’t regret it ”
“ I’m always disappointed going out to eat. Not tonight! Meredith, our server was super attentive and wonderful! And the food was fantastic! I can’t wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow! ”
“ My husband and I had such a great dining experience I'm returning a week later with my sister. I couldn't stop talking about the short ribs. Absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. But the dining area seemed small. There are tables where groups of two are seated very close to other groups of two. Fortunately we didn't have that seating arrangement. I would highly recommend this gem. ”
“ I had the Leroy St salad— food was great as was the service can’t wait to go back : ) ”
“ We recently dined at Public Restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed by several standout dishes and cocktails. The Southern Shrimp Beignets were a delightful start to the meal. These savory beignets, complemented by hot honey, blue crab, and pimento cheese, offered a blend of flavors that set the tone for the evening. The Public Prime Cheeseburger was a testament to classic comfort food done right. Served on a pretzel bun with a choice of cheese and accompanied by hand-cut fries, it was both satisfying and flavorful. The Maple Basted Scottish Salmon was paired with butternut squash, whipped goat cheese, bacon-onion jam, and finished with maple brown butter, each bite was a delightful combination of sweet and savory. The Midwest Wedge salad was refreshing and delightful. Topped with buttermilk ranch dressing, candied bacon, red onion, tomato, and crumbled bleu cheese, it provided a crisp and flavorful balance to the meal. Public Restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. The attentive service further enhanced the dining experience. The waitress came by to refill our waters several times throughout the service (even if they were slightly less full). I highly recommend visiting Public Restaurant to savor these dishes and explore their diverse menu. ”
